Project Description
This project involved a security risk assessment (SRA), site inspections, and SCEC compliant secure zone electronic integration and construction designs for the upgrade of air traffic control towers. The overall project involved structural and technology upgrades compliant with Australian and global aviation security standards to protect vital and mission critical air navigation assets.
Security system functions were extended to specially designed air traffic control workstations, allowing effective communication and fast notification of incidents and events. Security upgrades included construction of reinforced entry doors, mechanical and electromechanical locking, new integrated video intercoms, key accounting and control, and extended intruder detection, access control and IP based CCTV systems.
